![]() I read about it and understood that when drive side(left) intake valve is adjusted, right side intake valve should be fully open, left side exhaust adjust, right side exhaust valve fully open, vice versa when adjusting right side. Turned out that i adjusted them wrong (it was compression stroke, tdc and both valves same time). Carburetor is AMAL 930 single carb intake, i cleaned it in ultrasonic washer, didint help the problem, but then adjusted the valve clearances which were too small imo, little bigger caps and problem was gone. I've been riding my bike almost 900km/560miles and so far it has been running pretty good, only had little ignition problems but i sorted it out, magneto just needed little adjustments.Īnother thing that was small problem was that the carburetor spit back, coughed trough the carb when engine was warm and usually cutting out at idle because of this. its not that high quality looking piece so i might change it. Other thing im wondering is that is the 5mm outer diameter copper pipe enough for rocker feed, seems like previous owner has soldered new piping. Does anyone have seen this kind of setup? Is it good place to be in there or should i change the way it is? I heard it could have something to do with wet sumping, which my bike does, but the thing that buggers me is that will the scavenge pump make oil go back to engine through the breather hose. The things that are little bit out of my understanding is that the engine breather hose is attached to the oil return line, its fitted into a T-coupling which is between rocker feed banjo and junctiom block. ![]() I recently bought(two weeks ago) my very first Norton and i've never owned or even had a chance to ride/fix british bike before, so this is all new to me. New guy here, asking little bit help and your opinions. ![]()
